Before you embark on a bath to shower conversion, you may want to know a few things in advance. We take each of our bath to shower conversion clients and provide them a list of their options, insight in to each design and of course our knowledge.
If you are considering selling the home anytime soon, you might want to keep at least one tub in the home. If you are forced to move to a walk-in shower, obviously that takes priority. But, if you are simply converting the bathtub to a shower, make sure you consider reselling the home. Most REALTORS will tell you that you should leave one tub in the house.
What is the Cost
A bathtub to shower conversion can really range in pricing. You could be as low as $5,000 to $8,000 or if you selected a nicer tile, enlarged the space, etc. you could be up at $20,000. There are many other factors that might cause your bath to shower conversion to go up in price. Does the pluming have to be moved? Is there damage to the tub space? What type of shower door will be used? The sliding glass doors can be more expensive. We provide a free price quote for all of our clients and most of our services are performed toward the bottom end of that price range.
